Sensor Stream Pro

I built the predecessor of Sensor Stream, PhonePi, as an undergrad project a few years back (2017). The idea was simple: I needed a way to programmatically access sensor information—Accelerometer and GPS—in real-time for a particular project. I realized that our phones already have these sensors and many more. Would it be possible to utilize the sensor info from phones instead of having to buy actual hardware? So, I built the app and decided to put it out there, just in case it could be helpful to the rest of the world. Since then, PhonePi has been used for a variety of use cases—from Raspberry Pi projects to medical research papers to student-led Mars rover projects! As the Android ecosystem continued to evolve, I had to rewrite the app many times. Along the way, I added support for many more sensors. The current version now supports nearly all the major sensors on your phone, plus image and audio streaming!
