Also in that repo are 1000 word lists (1000 nouns, 1000 verbs, etc.), which are simple words to bootstrap your conlang lexicon, derived from multiple places and manually curated / added to to make sure they cover a wide array of things and are useful. https://github.com/drumworkteam/... Going to add 10-word lists, and 100 word lists so you could theoretically start with those even-more-meaningful-and-simple words. All stuff is in the public domain and kept simple so you can focus on bootstrapping your lexicon and grammar.
