👋 Hey Product Hunt, Michael here, builder of SecTools.
I built SecTools after years of working as a security engineer and penetration tester, and running into the same frustrating problem over and over again:
Too many vulnerabilities, not enough clarity on what actually matters.
Most security teams are flooded with findings from scanners, pentests, and audits. But once the report is delivered, everyone asks the same questions:
* What should we fix first?
* Which issues are actually exploitable in the real world?
* How do we explain this risk to non-technical stakeholders without fear-mongering or jargon?
* How do we turn raw findings into clean, professional reports without spending hours rewriting?
SecTools was built to solve exactly that.
What SecTools does
SecTools is a growing suite of AI-powered security tools designed to help security teams prioritize, explain, and remediate vulnerabilities faster.
Some of the core tools include:
* Fix-First Engine – Helps teams decide what to remediate first by considering exploitability, impact, and business context, not just CVSS.
*Cybersecurity Path Finder
* Risk Explainer – Translates technical vulnerabilities into clear, business-friendly risk statements executives actually understand.
* Pentest Report Generator – Turns raw findings into structured reports with descriptions, impact, recommendations, CVSS scoring, and compliance mapping.
The goal isn’t to replace security engineers. It’s to remove the busywork so teams can focus on real security decisions.
Who this is for (and who it’s not)
SecTools is built for:
* Security engineers
* Pentesters
* AppSec and DevSecOps teams
* Small to mid-sized security teams that don’t want heavyweight tools
It’s not meant to be a one-click “auto-secure” product or a replacement for proper testing.
Why Product Hunt
We’re launching on Product Hunt to get early feedback from builders and security practitioners. We want to know:
* Which problems resonate most
* What’s missing
* What feels unnecessary
* What you’d want next
Your comments and questions will directly influence the roadmap.
Thanks for checking out SecTools. I’ll be here all day answering questions and collecting feedback 🙌
If you work in security or have ever struggled with vulnerability overload, I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts.
