What do you think? …

As a consultant working for the big four accounting firm, I often need to quickly work through many lengthy documents (PDFs, Word, PPT etc) to understand key concepts buried somewhere in the paragraphs so that I can “pretend to be intelligent” when catching up with my team members and clients (just when I thought my college life of reading through textbooks, lecture notes, sample exam papers is over for good). I then started to think about how to address this challenge and turbocharge my productivity to understand key concepts from my domain-specific knowledge base (I work in the audit/data space). This motivated me to build this SaaS product Second Intelligence, after learning web development for 650 distraction free hours, with phones OFF. Here is a big shout out to the pandemic and the horrible Sydney weather, which stopped me from going to the beach during the weekends. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> To try it yourself: If this concept appears interesting, free feel to try the below. (P.S I got super excited myself when trying it out for the first time, which motivated me to become really serious and committed about web development) >> If you are interested in Metaverse: Add the Metaverse Wikipedia page and ask Second Intelligence "What is the metaverse". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Me... Did you get the same answer that Second Intelligence gives you? I bet NOT! And I bet you would prefer to have this additional perspective (even if you don't agree/believe it has the most accurate answer). I value your time, and if you are too busy to try this out, simply refer to the Image Gallery to see results :) I know I am sweet haha. >> If you are interested in finance/investing: Upload the below PDF (first Google search result of "Basics of finance pdf") and ask: - "What is financial market" or - "What is the most important economic problem". Did Second Intelligence get it right? http://unipub.lib.uni-corvinus.h... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alternatively, this is a medium article I wrote on how you can use machine learning to effectively understand key concepts buried in lengthy documents: https://small-town-little-anthon... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Or if you prefer a video walk through of the features, here is the YouTube link: https://youtu.be/rFu21z21UZg Enjoy! And let's keep motivating where tomorrow is built today.

Have been a long time follower (and big fan) via Medium and love your Udacity course reviews. It is good to see how your learning has finally amounted to something (I can certainly see you are committed to learning both ML and web development). It is also inspiring to see how if you committed to learning, you will eventually build something of your own!! Just tried out the two documents mentioned which is really interesting and insightful. Keen to see how the product performs when my semester reopens, with "real" lecture notes and textbook! Keep it up!

A very innovative product and very good use case of KBQN system! Some constructive criticism: Its intelligence is very "limited" and it's only capable of answering very basic questions and extracting the content thereafter. But I did not expect too much TBH. Not sure how much value it will add in real world use case. But it is good for you to build in the "keyword searching" functionality. Love it! Easy and simple implementation, but could prove to be very useful and robust given it seems to be picking up the root of the words too (at least according to my trial). Keen to see its practical use when tested with my own documents.

What is your pricing model? Is the free account limited in any way?

@lsherman Hi Lee, good call out! I went to check other posts and realized I should have listed it under "free options". I have made the change. Thanks!

Exciting! I've had some interesting results from Second Intelligence so far. Quite possibly it knows more than we give it credit for. Looking forward to using it for specific knowledge from my own documents 😉
