I was at RubyConf KL 2018, where one of the speakers really captivated the audience with this cool-ass spotlight-pointer that came on screen during the presentation. It was the Logitech Spotlight, and that was the first time I've heard of it. Out of curiosity, I looked up the price online, and damn it was expensive. So I thought to myself - what if I made a free version with web technologies? 🤔😏 Some procrastination and a few months later, I present you - Searchlight! (because Spotlight is a Logitech product, so I thought I would need a different name)
