Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Scruta because I was doing creator outreach for my own app on a $0 budget, and I had no idea which influencers were actually worth paying. Follower counts lie, engagement can be faked, and one bad paid post can wipe out a tiny marketing budget.
So I made Scruta. You paste any TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube handle and it pulls live metrics, then gives you a plain-language verdict: pay, free-seed first, or avoid, with the reasoning and a fair rate estimate. No dashboards to decode, just a decision.
It also saves creators to a tracker, writes personalized outreach DMs and emails, and compares two creators head-to-head so you know who to reach out to first.
It's free to start (5 vets a day), built solo, for other indie founders doing their own outreach. I'd love your honest feedback on what would make it genuinely useful.

Been waiting for something like this. One thing that would make it way more useful is showing a side-by-side comparison of two creators so I can quickly decide between them without opening multiple tabs.

@brahimds7m Thanks İbrahim. Good news, that already exists. Vet the two creators so they save to your tracker, then hit Compare and it gives you a head-to-head with a clear "reach out to this one first" call. Your point about doing it without juggling tabs is good feedback though. I want to make that more front-and-center, and a direct two-handle compare that skips the tracker step is worth building. Appreciate you flagging it.

Ran my own handle through Scruta and the verdict actually matched what I already suspected but couldn't prove with the usual vanity numbers. The fake follower flag was spot on.

@remzidarbadyy9 This is exactly why I built it, that gap between what you suspect and what you can actually prove. Glad the fake-follower flag earned its keep. Appreciate you running your own handle through it.

Pasted a few handles I was actually considering for a collab and the engagement breakdown was way more useful than the usual follower count. Fair rate estimate alone saved me a back-and-forth.

@ulevy36 Love hearing that. The fair-rate estimate was the feature I was most unsure about, so it's good to know it's pulling its weight. Hope the collab works out.

Tested it on a mid-tier TikTok creator and the AI verdict lined up with what I already suspected based on their engagement. The fair rate estimate was the part I found genuinely useful, saved me the awkward back-and-forth.

@dilara330707 Thanks Dilara. The fair-rate estimate keeps coming up as the sleeper feature, which is great to hear. If you ever get a verdict that feels off, tell me, that's the stuff I most want to tune.
