Hey Product Hunt!!
I'm Mayank, a student and solo developer building ScrubAI.
Images today often contain hidden information that most people never see: EXIF data, software traces, AI metadata, C2PA credentials, filenames, and more.
ScrubAI helps reveal that information before you share an image online.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Mayank, a student and solo developer behind ScrubAI.
I built ScrubAI after realizing how much invisible data gets attached to images today. AI-generated and edited images can carry metadata like EXIF information, software traces, C2PA credentials, filenames, and other details most people never even notice.
I wanted a tool that didn't just say:
"Metadata removed successfully."
I wanted users to actually see:
What hidden data exists
What was removed
What still remains
ScrubAI lets you:
Detect hidden metadata inside images
Remove EXIF, XMP, IPTC, AI metadata & C2PA credentials
Add metadata profiles (camera/device profiles)
Keep or randomize filenames for extra privacy
Batch clean images
Process everything locally in your browser
The goal wasn't to build another utility button. I wanted to make hidden image data visible and give users control over it.
I'm launching this first version to learn from real users and understand which workflows matter most.
Feedback I'm especially looking for:
Is the use case immediately clear?
Does the pricing make sense?
What feature would make this genuinely useful in your workflow?
