AI-powered tools for tabletop role-playing. Much more than just text generation, Scriptorium is a complete ecosystem for RPG enthusiasts. Craft memorable one-shots from scratch, design tactical maps, and dive into immersive, in-character conversations with your favorite NPCs and monsters. Simple, and ready to play.

as someone who's spent way too many hours prepping one-shots the night before a session, the NPC conversation feature is the part I'd actually use most, not for replacing the table but for testing how an NPC would react to something before I have to improvise it live in front of players. does an NPC's personality/voice stay consistent if you come back to talk to them again mid-campaign, or is each conversation more of a fresh sandbox
@galdayan Thank you for your feedback! To answer your question, yes once your character is created, if you have already begun a conversation, you can pick it up at any time by returning to their dedicated profile.
We are also planning to launch a public space to share creations directly on Scriptorium, allowing other players to use them as a foundation for their own sessions.
@denisbeauget good to hear, that's the exact use case I had in mind. the public space idea sounds like it could turn into a real library over time if people start sharing well-built NPCs, curious how you'll handle quality/discovery once there are hundreds of them in there
How does Scriptorium handle long-term campaign continuity, like remembering plot threads across multiple sessions or weeks of play?
@tahsinekmelsmr Regarding scenarios, the page feature allows you to direct Scriptorium for the upcoming session. When you wish to resume your scenario, all your previous pages will be saved, and you will be able to create new ones directly !
Looking ahead, it will also be possible to add custom characters and monsters on the fly to a pre-existing scenario to bring more dynamism to the game and enable plot twists with new characters.
Similar to the map generator, which allows you to directly place created entities onto the grid
