Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Carlos, a father of two daughters and a son and the maker of Screeni. Screeni started from a frustration I had with Apple’s built-in Screen Time. It worked for basic limits, but it didn’t fit how real families operate. I wanted different rules for school days, weekends, holidays, and vacations. I wanted breaks during the day for homework, meals, and outdoor play. And when my daughters asked for extra screen time, I wanted them to earn it by doing something useful instead of simply giving in. What started as a side project evolved into a complete reward-based screen time system. Kids can earn additional time by completing chores, and parents can approve them instantly. Along the way I added smart schedules, breaks, widgets, Live Activities, and system-level enforcement powered by Apple’s FamilyControls framework. One of my favorite moments came after introducing scheduled breaks. Instead of arguing about putting their devices away, I started seeing my daughters leave their phones on their own and go outside to play. That alone made the project worth building.
