Instead of juggling multiple apps and tabs, ScreenHint lets you capture a piece of your screen, turning it in to a snapshot that hovers over your other windows. It can help you keep focused, remember something important, or stay inspired while you work.
This sounds interesting! How does ScreenHint handle multiple screenshots? Can we organize or categorize them somehow? I’m curious about its UX as well.

This is a really interesting story about ScreenHint and how it all connects back to Salem! 🎉 I'm curious though, how does ScreenHint stack up against other screenshot tools in terms of functionality? Does it have any unique features that make it stand out? Also, what kind of feedback have the Makers received from the community since its release? I'm looking forward to giving it a try!
@dance17219 I’ve found there to be a ton of screenshot apps out there, but not so many that treat a screenshot as a piece of personal productivity (as opposed to, say, something you’re planning on sending to other people). There are features that try and focus on this, like extracting text from the screenshot, or like hiding the border should you want to collage a few screenshots together.
As far as feedback goes, I’ve heard really kind things from passionate users. People who have given me feedback tend to be people who already use ScreenHint many times a day, and who are looking for a feature or two to remove a hiccup in their workflow.

So we're supposed to believe hovering screenshots are the future, right? I mean, do we really need another thing cluttering our screens while we work, when half the time we're already drowning in open tabs, just saying, maybe focus more on streamlining our workflow than adding another layer of chaos 🧐
@conversationalalchemist Hey! I built ScreenHint because it personally helps me to unclutter my workflow — keeping a window open just to see a snippet of code just eats up screen real-estate. It may not be the right tool for you! I don't think it's a great fit for everyone, but I don't think I could live without it.

I came across this tool while browsing some tech forums and I gotta say I'm not sure it has much use for me, feels like an unnecessary clutter on the screen, have you considered adding more customization options or maybe integrating it with some popular project management tools so it doesn't just hover around?
This is a great story! It's amazing how a little tool like ScreenHint can bring back so much productivity. Huge shoutout to Salem for not just being a lifesaver back then, but also for creating such a useful open-source gem! The power of community and friendship really shines here. I can’t wait to give it a try and upvote it! It seems like a perfect MVP for anyone juggling too many tabs. Here’s to more focused work sessions! 💪
