ScreenCam: Native Mac screen recorder with a built-in editor

Hey Product Hunt, we built ScreenCam because most screen-recording tools still force a tradeoff: lightweight native feel, or powerful post-production. ScreenCam is our attempt to make both fit in one Mac app. It is a native macOS screen recorder and editor with a small app footprint, low CPU and memory usage, faster exports, and Mac App Store distribution. The goal is simple: feel like a real Mac app, not a web editor wrapped in a desktop shell. The bigger difference is what stays editable after recording. ScreenCam gives you full control over the final video: manual zooms, adjustable animation curves, cursor-aware motion, animated assets, Live Photo export, and unlimited custom layers for text, images, mosaic, focus effects, and more. So instead of re-recording every time a take is almost right, you can keep refining the recording like an editable project.
