Hey Product Hunt! Solo founder here. I built ScanCompta because French freelancers still keep paper receipts in shoeboxes and re-type everything by hand each quarter. In France you must keep every receipt for 6 years, VAT has multiple rates, and accountants receive their clients' receipts as blurry WhatsApp photos. So the flow is simple: photograph the receipt, AI reads amount, VAT, date and category, you check and validate, and at month end your accountant gets a clean CSV plus a ZIP of all receipt photos in one click. Accountants can also use it directly with one folder per client. Fun fact: I'm not a developer. The whole thing is built with AI tools in a few weeks, and the hardest bugs were HEIC photos from Samsung phones and receipts dated the 31st disappearing because of UTC timezone math. The app is in French since the tax logic is local, but the demo speaks for itself if you want to try a scan. Honest feedback very welcome, especially on pricing and onboarding!

Snapped a few old paper receipts and the VAT extraction nailed them, which honestly surprised me for a PWA. Love that I can just shoot off a CSV and the photos to my accountant without digging through folders.

Super useful for anyone doing their own bookkeeping. One thing I'd love: an option to auto-detect when a receipt is for a deductible expense vs. a personal one, maybe with a quick swipe to confirm before it gets filed. Would save a lot of second-guessing at tax time.
