I studied Finnish for almost 2 years and still couldn't follow a conversation at the office coffee table.
The reason: nearly every course teaches kirjakieli, the formal written Finnish. But nobody talks like that. Finns say "mä oon" instead of "minä olen", "mennää" instead of "menemme". You can pass a textbook exam and still be lost in a real conversation.
So SaunaSpeak flips it: puhekieli is the main content, and the written form is just a reference underneath. Every lesson is written by a human (not generated), and every sentence has audio.
A few deliberate choices:
