At my previous startup, I had to present our company's income statement. I thought there must be something better than simply putting the table we got from our accountant onto a slide. I figured out that the best visualization type for an income statement is a Sankey diagram. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to create a Sankey with available software. Too difficult for me. A bit frustrated, I presented the income statement as a table. The unintuitive table format kept bothering me, though.
