What frustrated me: As a salesperson selling into medium-large accounts, I often struggled to keep top of mind the working relationships of my various contacts at target companies. Who reports to who? Which stakeholders do I need to reach? How do I navigate these organizational webs? The existing solutions in the market today are either expensive Enterprise tools or ineffective workarounds lacking dynamism (ehem.. PowerPoint). So I decided to just build something myself. Sales Org Mapper - a dead-simple tool that lets salespeople create visual org charts and track hierarchy structures within their target accounts. No bloat, no enterprise pricing, just the core functionality you actually need. For the MVP, this is what I focused on: - Visual org chart creation for target accounts - Track engaged vs. unengaged stakeholders - Easy modifications as you learn more about the account - Clean, intuitive interface that actually makes sense This is my first time launching something, so for the sake of speed I went the no-code route for the MVP, which has been a really fun experience. It let me focus entirely on solving the core problem without getting bogged down in technical complexity. Most salespeople know that complex deals are often won through relationships and understanding organizational dynamics. But the tools to map these are often terrible, so you end up not keeping the account maps up, or not creating them at all.
