Safey is an encrypted vault for the things you'd never want seen — private photos, videos, passwords, and notes. Everything is locked behind Face ID and AES-256 encryption, stored on your own device. And if someone tries the wrong passcode, Safey silently snaps a photo of them.

Hey Product Hunt.
I built Safey because every "hide my photos" app I tried only did one thing — photos. But the stuff we actually want private is bigger than that: passwords, ID scans, private notes, videos. So I built one encrypted vault for all of it.
A few things I'm proud of:
1. AES-256 encryption, on-device: your files never leave your phone unencrypted. Even I can't see them.
2. Face ID lock on the whole vault.
3. Break-in alerts: if someone enters the wrong passcode, Safey silently snaps a front-camera photo of them.
4. A built-in **password vault + generator.
5. It's free to start. I'd genuinely love your feedback: **what would make you actually trust an app with your most private files?

A lot of stock gallery apps already have dedicated vaults. How does this compare to them? When you're building alternatives to existing tools, you must identify what seperates yours. Good luck!

@vitohacker With Safey we’re encrypting everything on device before anything even goes out while maintaining a quick sync environment with your private cloud incase you lose your phone and need to recover the data.

the silent photo capture on wrong passcode is such a clever touch, feels like a real security upgrade instead of just another pretty vault app

@aylinyeennadi Thank you! We have launched version 3.2 with a decoy passcode option and even better security

honestly looks really clean and the silent intruder snap is such a smart touch, basically a built in security camera for your own phone. one thing though, could you add a decoy vault option with a fake passcode that opens to a separate harmless set of files. would make it way more convincing if anyone ever forced you to unlock it.

the silent capture feature caught me off guard in the best way, the setup was quick and i like that nothing leaves the device. solid for anyone paranoid about cloud leaks.

downloaded it last night and honestly the silent intruder photo thing is kind of brilliant, already caught my roommate trying to snoop. local storage is the right call too

The silent intruder snapshot is such a clever touch, turning a security feature into something that feels almost playful without losing its seriousness. Really nice execution.
