While working with hardware product companies, we kept seeing the same challenge: critical product information was scattered across Excel sheets, shared drives, emails, and disconnected tools. BOMs, engineering documents, firmware versions, manufacturing records, and field data all lived in different places, making collaboration difficult and traceability even harder.
When a device failed in the field, teams often spent more time searching for the right firmware version, BOM revision, or production history than actually solving the problem.
