I built Rumo because I wanted a video meeting platform that I could actually run myself without accounts, per-seat pricing, or depending on another company's meeting infrastructure. I started with the basic WebRTC meeting experience and gradually added things I found useful while using it: host controls, waiting rooms, recording, chat, breakout rooms, polls, whiteboards, custom branding and embedding. The project is open source and MIT licensed, so you can run it on your own server and modify it however you want. I'd love to hear what you'd want from a self-hosted meeting platform that isn't already here.
