rubricfy scores AP English Language practice essays on the College Board's 6-point rubric: thesis (0-1), evidence and commentary (0-4), and sophistication (0-1). It works for synthesis, rhetorical analysis, and argument essays. For each row you get the score, the sentence that earned or lost the point, and one specific fix. It gives feedback only and never writes essays. Grade one essay free without an account, or one a day with a free account. Credit packs from $9, no subscription.

Hi everyone, I'm Wen, and I built rubricfy.
AP Lang students write a lot of practice essays, and most of them wait days for a score, if they get one at all. rubricfy scores a practice essay on the College Board's 6-point rubric in a few seconds: thesis (0-1), evidence and commentary (0-4), and sophistication (0-1). For each row it quotes the sentence that earned or lost the point and suggests one specific fix. It gives feedback only. It doesn't write or rewrite essays.
I tested it on 27 official College Board sample essays from 2023 to 2025. Its score was within one point of the official score on 25 of them.
You can grade one essay without an account. A free account gets one grade a day, and credit packs start at $9 with no subscription.
The feedback that would help me most:
- If you teach AP Lang or took the exam, does the score match what you would give?
- Is the feedback for each row specific enough to act on?
