I really love the light meter function but it was a little unintuitive for me to have it hidden behind the film function. It makes sense when you are using the app (log the film, gain access to the meter) but at first I was like βam I missing something with this feature?β
Might be worth it to have a separate meter module as well. If itβs there, I blame being bad at tech! Lol
Hey everyone β I'm Imad, I built Pellica.
I shoot 35mm in Paris and I was tired of juggling a notebook, a light meter app, Google Maps for labs, and a spreadsheet for my film stock. So I built the app I wished existed.
The idea is simple: close the feedback loop between shooting and getting your scans back. When you can see that frame 14 was f/2.8 at 1/60 in overcast light, you stop guessing and start learning.
PetaPixel covered it this week, and 200+ photographers signed up in the first 5 days.
Would love to hear what you think β especially if you shoot film. And if you don't, I'm curious what questions you have about why people still do.
