Robotic Tape

Robotic Tape

Quickly build an API for any website, visually.

Build an API for sites that don't have an API - without coding. The API interacts with the site (click buttons, fill in text fields) so you can get data or perform actions. Great for DIY automation, rapid prototyping & bringing chat bots to a whole new level.

I like that without any coding you can build and test API for any website.

#1 product of the day, CONGRATS!
Anna Filou
Haven't tried the actual product but the website is not at all mobile optimized... Might be a thing to consider seeing as to how most people mostly use their phone to browse the web. I understand that a person who's looking for web scrapers is probably doing so from a desktop computer, but what if somebody just happens to stumble upon your website while using their phone? It gives the wrong first impression (i.e. "the makers don't care about user experience")

@anna_0x Anna, thank you for feedback! Totally agree with you, we will optimize for mobile. And the great thing – it’s possible to build API with Robotic Tape even on mobile
Anna Filou
@mynameisjura that's actually great! A lot of websites—even if they are responsive—lose functionality on mobile!

How is the backend powered and who is hosting the endpoints?
Jura Fitzgerald
@blockfacts ruby on rails for IDE and python for robots that browse web and serve API. Endpoints hosted on AWS. Thinking about self-hosted option if there will be demand

tested. works... pretty simple and useful. got no welcome email where i could send suggestions / bugs.
Jura Fitzgerald
Roman, will appreciate if you could send suggestions / bugs to our email published at footer of our site (PH does not allow to insert it here). Thank you

What about ids safety ? As a bot, it must have a way to have them plain and clear sometime somewhere to fill login forms.
Jura Fitzgerald
@nathan_gouy we encrypt data that provided as input. Robots that process this data don't store it. Also considering to make self-hosted option if it will make sense
