The Backstory & The Problem:
As a local creator, I always struggled with one major question that is, what should I write about next? Traditional SEO and trend tools are great, but they often focus on massive, global data that takes days or weeks to update. By the time a trend registers there, the market is already saturated.
I realized that bloggers were missing out on a goldmine of immediate, hyper-local trends happening right under their noses.
I wanted to solve this by building a tool that captures what people are genuinely interested in right now in their specific areas, giving creators an unfair advantage to ride the wave early.
How the Approach Evolved
When I first started working on this launch, my focus was purely on building a fast data scraper. But as I tested it and talked to early users, my process completely evolved. I realized that raw trend data isn't enough—bloggers don't just want a list of keywords; they need actionable insights.
That’s why I pivoted to integrate AI-powered analysis. Instead of just saying X is trending, riki-ai.tech now helps you understand why it's trending and how you can position your content to capture that audience. We shifted from a simple tracking tool to an intelligent brainstorming partner for content strategy.

How does it actually pull the trend data in real time, and does it tie into Google Trends or something else under the hood?

It doesn't use Google Trends. Under the hood, we built a real-time RAG pipeline.
We use SerpApi to fetch the latest live search results from the web(it's under testing / reviewing so is not the newest data though), and then feed that fresh context into OpenAI to generate up-to-the-minute responses. Thank you so much for the comment!
