Hi Product Hunt, I’m Adam, the founder of Rhubarb. I started building Rhubarb after realizing that AI had become remarkably good at creating custom data visualizations, but generating the code was only one piece of actually delivering a working one. The data still has to live somewhere and stay current. The visualization needs hosting, sharing and access controls. And, especially when AI is writing the code, I wanted the underlying SQL and JavaScript to remain visible, reviewable, and editable rather than disappearing into a black box. So I built Rhubarb around the whole workflow. Connect or upload your data, describe what you want to see, and the Rhubarb Assistant writes the SQL and JavaScript to build the visualization. You can inspect or edit that code yourself, keep working with the assistant, and publish the finished interactive visualization from the same workspace. The launch video shows Rhubarb generating a working multi-view world trade visualization from a single prompt. There’s also a live demo you can try without creating an account or entering a credit card. It’s meant to let you actually build and modify visualizations rather than just watch a canned example. Incredibly fast way to visualize and glean insights. The AI is powerful, being able to iterate unlocks exploring multiple views really quickly.

Has basically unlocked doing exploratory analyses that I wouldn’t have known to ask for or known it was worth a data analyst‘s time.

Been using it to play with our global database and prompting the AI both in terms of adjusting how data is being used and visual representation. This tool is fun and motivating. 📈

Has basically unlocked doing exploratory analyses that I wouldn’t have known to ask for or known it was worth a data analyst‘s time.
