Reward Jar is a free marble jar app for families. Agree a prize with your child, then add a marble the moment they get something right, whether you're at home, at work or at the park. Partners, grandparents and carers get their own free accounts and add to the same jar, so everyone rewards the same things. A full jar celebrates until the prize is handed over. Free on iPhone and in any browser. Next: a real jar for their shelf, with a lid they slap to drop a marble in.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm James, and I built Reward Jar.
Most parents know the sticker chart. Fewer know the reward jar, but it's the kind of reward system child psychologists recommend, and it's great for encouraging good behaviour. Your child earns a marble for the good stuff, and a full jar wins a prize you picked together.
Reward Jar brings that proven method into the 21st century, so parents, carers and children can all keep track and work towards the prize together. It puts the jar on a screen kids already know: not one to scroll endlessly, but one to get excited about. They watch every marble drop in, and soon they're the ones remembering the jar and bringing it up.
Here's how it works:
Add a marble the moment it happens, wherever you are. Rewards work best when they come straight away.
Every grown-up adds to the same jar. Partners, grandparents and carers get their own free accounts, so everyone rewards the same things.
A jar for each child, from 5 to 30 marbles, with their prize on it. You can also keep it a surprise, and the jar says "Mystery reward".
A full jar celebrates until you mark the prize as given, and every prize they've earned is kept.
It's free on iPhone, and it works in any browser on Android or a computer.
The next part is the one I'm most excited about: a real jar for their shelf. It has a screen showing their name and their prize, and a lid they slap to drop a marble in. A marble lands with a clink, and a full jar gets a fanfare. The prototype runs on an ESP32 and stays in sync with the app. Now I'm turning it into a jar that stands up to little hands. There's a waitlist on the site if you'd like to follow along.
I'd love your feedback, especially on these:
What does your family use now: a sticker chart, a real jar, something else?
What would make you start a jar today?
What would you want the real jar to do?
I'll be here all day and will answer every comment. Thanks for taking a look!
Launch-day update 🫙 Here's the jar prototype working on my desk: slap the lid, a marble drops in, and a full jar celebrates. It stays in sync with the app.

And if you're curious how it got here, from the first 3D design to this in 30 seconds: https://youtu.be/P8OYdQ9HYnI
It's still a prototype, so I'd love to hear what you'd want the real jar to do.
