Retext expands short triggers into full text as you type β addresses, email signatures, code blocks, canned replies. Typeaddr and it instantly becomes your full address. Works system-wide in any Mac app. Free to try, no account needed.

@corey_hainesΒ Another new launch from Corey. I freaking love how prolific you are.
How are you using it? Any use cases?

Does Retext support dynamic fields like date and clipboard, or is it mostly static snippets?
Hi @naimzΒ ,
Retext is only focused on static snippets right now. Dynamic fields aren't supported yet, but that is great feedback and we will definitely consider implementing more functionality to support variables inside snippets!
The "no account needed" decision is underrated - text expanders are the kind of tool that should just work silently in the background. The moment you add auth and cloud sync, you've added complexity to something that's supposed to remove it. How are you handling snippet sync across machines for users who want that?
System-wide snippets without a heavy app flow makes a lot of sense. The first things Iβd save are email replies, addresses, and repeated Slack messages.
