As someone who has helped a candidate get into HBS MBA, I hated how most resume making tools act like beauticians. They change colour, font, spacing. Maybe sprinkle a few keywords. And stop there. So we build a Resume Analyzer that works more like a doctor.
@nishant_didawat1 - I uploaded 4 resumes and gone through the recommendation of the tool. Here are my observations.
It shows a resume score which is an arithmetic mean of the 5 components that acts as a base for resume gradation. Team has given it the fantastic name A-TEAM which is an acronym for
Access Readiness - ATS Friendly
Talent Trajectory - Career growth
Evidence of Impact - Success Metrics
Application Design - Structure
Methodology Strength - Execution Depth
In the first section, it highlights the strengths and areas of improvement from its analysis of the resume. Good part is it limits the bullet points to 3 which really makes it a good summary statement.
Once you go past the summary section, then you will land up on the detailed analysis section.
This section is where the game is. It goes through every line on the resume and provides a detailed analysis of every line written on the resume. It not only highlights the issues but also provides a well-articulated resume lines. The part that I like the most in this section is that it provides the thoughtful arguments about its views and positions on resume lines. This feels like having a human coach reviewing as well coaching you on resume writing.
Most users would find precise guidance in these 2 sections. If they implement the suggestion, I am sure their resume would look lot better.
If that is not enough, users can go to 3rd section where they can chat with an AI and get answers to their questions about resume.
If your questions are still not addressed, then you can reach out to the qualifies individuals who are listed in section 5. You just need to follow through the instructions, and you will be on course to speak to the industry veterans who would address your queries.
One point to note is that the system is programmed to evaluate resume lines from success metrics parameter. So if you don't have a statistics / quantification of the impact you have made, resume analyzer is going to come hard on those lines. While it would provide the best possible structure, quantification numbers have to come from the user. As a consequence, I doubt, if anyone can hit the 100% score on this tool. This is the farthest that a machine can go to.
