I recently returned to an old electronics project I stated years ago. When I pulled out my bread board there were resistors all over it, and I had no idea what values they were.
I dreaded pulling out a color code chart and decoding them all by hand. But then I thought "Maybe I can upload a picture to Chat GPT and it will tell me." I tried, and it failed miserably.
So I set out on a quest to create a simple computer vision app that allows me to simply snap a photo of an electronic resistor, and instantly see its value.
