Hey hunters! 👋
The creator of RepLog here.
As a musician, I noticed a pattern: I spent a lot of time "noodling" on my instrument but struggled to track if I was actually making progress. I tried notes apps, paper journals, and recording videos on my phone—but my files ended up scattered, and I had no real metrics on whether my playing speed (BPM) was improving.
I built RepLog to solve this. It's a macOS app that helps you structure your practice:
1. Define clear goals (songs, scales, chords) and target tempos.
2. Log your active segments with a built-in metronome.
3. Track your daily consistency with a visual practice streak counter and weekly charts.
4. Record practice logs directly in the app, saved locally under each specific goal.
RepLog is entirely local-first. Your database (.replog) and video logs remain private on your machine.
I'd love to hear your feedback on the interface, the metronome flow, or anything you'd like to see in our next updates!
RepLog is free to start. Let me know what you think! 🎸🎹
