I built ReelMarkr because my creative workflow was becoming scattered across too many different apps.
References and moodboards were in one place, videos somewhere else, notes in another app, project folders in Explorer, and I was constantly jumping between tools just to keep a project organized.
As a 3D artist and motion designer, I wanted something more visual and video-first. A workspace where I could collect references, review footage, break videos into shots, build moodboards and storyboards, take notes, organize project files, and experiment with ideas without constantly leaving the canvas.
That eventually became ReelMarkr.
I’ve been building it around the way I actually work on creative projects, especially as a solo artist, rather than trying to make another general-purpose collaboration or whiteboard app.
ReelMarkr is still evolving, and that’s one of the reasons I’m launching it here. I’d really love to hear how other designers, motion artists, filmmakers, editors, and content creators organize their creative process.
If you try it, let me know what works, what feels confusing, and what you’d like to see added. I’m actively building it and feedback genuinely helps shape where it goes next.
