A while back I got an idea for a startup and needed access to the Reddit API. I tried getting it, but ran into this massive application form for API access. I just wanted to validate the idea, and for that I needed a small volume of posts – I didn't want to go through some "worthiness committee" to get API access, so I built a scraper that returns clean JSON data instead. The idea turned out not to hold up, but the code was still there, so I decided to put it out for free for a couple of weeks. I want to gather some usage stats and see how it holds up before deciding what to do with it next.
