We're excited to introduce the new RateYourSeats app.
Buying tickets can be stressful. Whether it's a concert, a playoff game, or a bucket-list event, you often don't know what your seats will actually be like until you arrive. We built RateYourSeats to help fans buy with confidence before they spend their money.
The app combines years of seating data from RateYourSeats.com with new mobile-first features, including:
- Real fan seat photos and ratings
- Interactive seating charts
- 360° Seat Views and Interactive Ticket Tours
- Side-by-side ticket comparisons across multiple events
- Favorite venues and saved tickets for quick access
Our goal is simple: help you find the seats you'll actually enjoy.
We'd love to hear what you think! Thanks for checking us out, and we hope you'll never buy a bad seat again!

How often are the fan photos and seat ratings updated, especially for newer venues or recently renovated sections?

@nimetwxnv We update our fan photos and seat ratings on an ongoing basis. Our team regularly audits venues to make sure section information, seating layouts, and ratings remain accurate as venues change over time.
For new venues, we aim to have someone from our team visit within the first few months of opening (depending on the size of the venue) to establish a reliable baseline of photos and seat ratings. From there, we continue adding fan-submitted photos and refining our ratings as more people attend events and share their experiences.
If a venue undergoes a major renovation or reconfiguration, we prioritize updating those sections as quickly as possible so fans have the most accurate information before buying tickets.
Thanks for checking us out!

How does the app handle pricing comparisons across events, are ticket prices pulled directly from official vendors or scraped from third-party resellers?
Report
Hunter
@apehivan7227 Ticket prices in the app come from listings on our secondary marketplace, where prices are set by individual ticket sellers based on supply and demand. Because of that, prices can change at any time as sellers update their listings or tickets are purchased.
Ticket prices are updated in real time whenever you view an event. Since all pricing comes directly from our marketplace, you'll always be comparing the latest available listings rather than outdated or cached prices.

Finally an app that shows me what the view actually looks like before I drop a couple hundred bucks on seats. The 360 photos sold me the moment I compared two sections side by side.

@melisnceda1tw6 That's exactly the problem we set out to solve. Buying tickets can be a significant investment, and you shouldn't have to guess what your view will look like after spending hundreds of dollars. Thanks for checking us out!

The 360° seat views are such a smart move, beats guessing from a flat chart every time. Whoever designed this clearly dealt with the frustration of picking a nosebleed seat themselves.

@fikretaholegd6 That's exactly how RateYourSeats got its start. Our founder purchased tickets he believed would offer a great view, only to arrive and find the experience didn't meet expectations. That frustration inspired the company's idea: helping fans know exactly what to expect before they buy.
The 360° seat views are a natural extension of that mission. Instead of relying solely on a seating chart, fans can explore the view from their section and make a more informed decision. Our goal has always been to remove the guesswork from buying tickets so you can purchase with confidence and avoid disappointing seats.
