Streaming homepages are built to keep you browsing, not to get you watching. This does the opposite: one button, five films at once — title, year, runtime, genres, rating — drawn from 13,000+ movies you've actually heard of. Optional filters for genre, decade, rating and length. Every film in the pool has an identical chance, so you get the 1980s comedy you'd never have searched for. No account, no tracking, nothing saved.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
Summer break started and my group chat turned into a nightly "so what are we watching?"
thread that never actually resolves. Someone names a film, someone else pulls up the
trailer, forty minutes later everyone goes to bed. I've done it alone plenty of times too.
So I built the dumbest possible fix: one button that hands you five random movies at once
— title, year, runtime, genres and audience rating, lined up so you can compare them in a
glance. Tap one for the poster and a short synopsis. Keep it, or press the button again.
Three things I was fussy about:
1. The randomness is real. Most "random" pickers store a random key on each row and grab
the nearest match, which quietly favours the same titles forever. This one counts the
films matching your filters and draws from a random position in that range, so every
film has an identical chance on every press.
2. 13,000 movies people have actually heard of, not 900,000 database entries. Filters for
genre, decade, rating and length are all optional — leave them on Any and you're drawing
from the whole pool.
3. No account, no watchlist, no profile building up in the background. Nothing is written
to your device. It does remember what it already showed you within a session, so you're
not handed the same film twice.
What's deliberately missing: where to stream a title. Availability changes by country and
by week, and a stale answer is worse than none, so I'd rather ship it later than ship it
wrong.
Curious what your first spin gives you — and if the pool feels thin in a genre you care
about, tell me which one and I'll look at it.

Finally found something that beats the endless scroll on Netflix. Hit the button and got a 1978 comedy I'd never have scrolled past, picked it and had a great night in. Clean little site too.

@milton_osgood Appreciate this, Milton! A 1978 comedy is exactly the kind of thing the button exists for — the stuff that never surfaces on its own. Which one did you land on? I keep a list of the good finds people report.
