RAM prices have exploded. AI data centers are devouring global memory supply, and manufacturers like Micron are already sold out for 2026. The result: DDR4 kits that were $60 six months ago now cost $150+. DDR5 is even worse. CyberPowerPC warned customers of a 500% surge. Analysts don't expect relief until late 2027 at the earliest. When every dollar counts, buying at the wrong time can cost you $50–100 per kit. But how do you know if today's price is actually good or just less bad?
Hey everyone!
Built this because I kept getting burned buying RAM at the wrong time. Grabbed a 32GB DDR5 kit last year, saw it $40 cheaper two weeks later. With the whole AI memory crisis making prices absolutely unhinged right now, that feeling hits even harder.
So I made RamRadar, it tracks DDR4 and DDR5 prices across Amazon, (coming soon Best Buy, B&H, and Newegg) throughout the day.
The main feature: "Near ATL"
Every kit shows how close its current price is to the cheapest it's ever been. If it's within 10%, we flag it. If it's near the all-time high, we basically tell you to chill and wait.
$/GB sorting
Lowkey my favorite feature. When you're comparing a 32GB kit at $149 vs a 64GB kit at $260, raw price doesn't tell you much. $/GB does.
What's coming next:
Price drop alerts -get notified when a kit hits your target
More retailers
Expanding beyond RAM - GPUs and SSDs are getting hit by the same shortage
It's free, no ads, no sign-up. Just prices.
