RallyTone is a LAN-first, self-hosted voice and text chat app for 2–12 players. Create a party on Windows or macOS, let nearby friends join automatically, or connect directly by IPv4/IPv6 to your own RallyTone Server. It includes voice activation, global Push-to-Talk, team rooms, temporary chat, compact controls, a speaker overlay, and echo/noise reduction. No accounts, ads, analytics, or voice recording.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
We’re a tiny independent app studio, and after building LANSpeed, we kept running into a simple problem: friends on the same network still had to create accounts and route game-night voice chat through a public cloud.
So we built RallyTone — a LAN-first voice and text chat app for small groups. It discovers nearby parties automatically, or connects directly by IPv4/IPv6 to a self-hosted RallyTone Server.
What’s inside:
• Clear voice for 2–12 people
• Voice activation and global Push-to-Talk
• Lobby and team channels
• Temporary chat that disappears with the party
• Compact controls and a lightweight speaker overlay
• No accounts, ads, analytics, or voice recording
RallyTone is free on Windows and macOS. We’d especially love feedback from LAN party hosts, homelab and self-hosting users, gaming cafés, and small studios: what would make you trust it for your next session?
