Hi Hunters, I cook for my family, and every Sunday went the same way: open a notes app, write down seven dinners, guess what they would cost, then buy 200 g of something the shop only sells in 400 g packs. Racion is what I built instead. You answer seven questions: where you shop, who eats, what nobody in the house will touch, what equipment you have, how much you want to spend. You get a week of meals with the price of every dish and one shopping list. The list counts packs rather than grams, so when three recipes need 253 g of cheese it tells you to buy two 200 g packs. Prices come from official statistics: Rosstat in Russia, Eurostat country price levels with HICP in Europe. A chain index moves them, so Aldi and Rewe give different numbers. They are estimates, and the app says so next to every total. It works in 22 countries and 15 languages, with 1963 recipes and 38 collections for holidays and ordinary weeks. No signup and no subscription. The code is AGPL on GitHub. One thing I would like to hear: does the estimate land anywhere near your receipt? I can only check that myself in Russia and Germany.
