Quotebacks is a tool to manage text snippets from around the web. All quotes are stored in chrome local storage. The extension makes it easy to embed these quotes nicely into your blog. Options exist to turn the quotes into images (for e.g. substack) or markdown (for e.g. Roam)

Hey - Tom here, I created this extension together with Toby Shorin. We're both bloggers and ultimately interested in increasing discussion and dialogue *between bloggers*. "Quotebacks" is three things: - A web-native citation standard and quoting UX pattern - A tiny library, quoteback.js, that converts HTML blockquote tags into elegant interactive webcomponents - A browser extension to create quoteback components and store any quotes you save to publish later. This is our first release - bugs and feature requests welcome.

I'm absolutely loving this. It looks great on sites, and it's actually faster than copy/pasting in markdown to a blog with credits. Hoping for a Safari bookmarklet(since proper Safari extensions are such a pain nowadays) for Mac/Mobile. But as a first release, it sets a very clear picture of the vision, and I'm all in. Thanks and congrats on launch!
