avoid this scam at all costs. It changes your actual links to a link on qr.link which then will be redirected to your link. This is a trick to later block that url and asking for money. Very nasty trick to rip you off. Suppose you print that qr code in large amounts. then you will have to pay them.

This is a scam. It's suppose to be free than at the after 20 scan of your QR they want money. It is a real scam!

QR.io is a complete SCAM. It makes you think it's free, they strategically wait to allow you to set up the QR code (in my case on printed marketing material/banners), and then they email you that unless you pay a $45/mo fee that your "free" QR code will no longer work. Biggest kicker: they lock you out of your portal after providing your credit card, so you can't cancel your credit card info. I've been trying for 3 mos to stop it.

Review of QR.io
There was a misunderstanding around pricing and static vs dynamic codes. We lost some staff time and funding but customer service have since helped out.

I tried it once. Printed out codes for selling my products but then a little while later got an email that for them to work I need to subscribe. This was very much new information to me. Sure it may have been hidden somewhere on the site but it wasn't exactly clearly projected. I try to run a small business and I lost money because of this deceitful "service".
