Hello! I’m Lucia, founder of Psyfy. Growing up in a small apartment in a bustling Chinese city, I witnessed firsthand the stress, anxiety, and emotional strain that can arise from financial and health struggles and limited emotional support. From a young age, I aspired to create something meaningful to help others facing similar challenges. After completing my PhD in computer science, I did a postdoc at Stanford, where my research focused on machine learning fairness and safety. I was inspired by the potential of large language models (LLMs), and helped develop unique tools towards ensuring their safety and trustworthiness. At the same time, I felt called to honor my childhood dream of making a difference for individuals like my family—those who may not have easy access to mental health resources. That’s why I created Psyfy. Psyfy is a personalized mental wellness companion. Drawing on research-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and attachment theory, it provides safe, reflective conversations tailored to each user’s unique experiences and goals. Our integrated memory system remembers essential details about your life, preferences, and aspirations, making interactions feel seamless and meaningful.
