Turn a text prompt into a 3D-printable STL model in minutes. AI text-to-3D generator — describe anything, generate, and download. No CAD or modeling skills needed.
👋 Hi Product Hunt!
I’m excited to share ProtoForge with you.
I built ProtoForge because creating custom 3D models can be difficult if you don’t know CAD software. I wanted to make it possible for anyone to turn an idea into a printable 3D model using AI.
Whether you’re a hobbyist, maker, student, or experienced 3D printing enthusiast, ProtoForge is designed to help you go from concept to creation much faster.
This is only the beginning, and I’d genuinely love your feedback. What features would you like to see? What can be improved?
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you enjoy using ProtoForge! 🚀 + please actually use it.

Love how fast this turns ideas into actual STL files, super useful for quick prototypes. One thing that would help a lot is letting users adjust the model scale or dimensions before downloading, since AI outputs sometimes come in random sizes that don't fit standard printer beds. A simple bounding box slider would be a great add.

@ravzasv0o Thanks for the suggestion! You can already adjust the model size before downloading, but this tells me we should make that feature easier to find. Really appreciate the feedback!

Tried it with a quick prompt for a phone stand and got a usable STL in under a minute, the mesh was cleaner than I expected for an early result.

@utkuwjto Thanks for trying it! Great to hear the phone stand worked well.

Tried generating a little gear yesterday and was surprised how clean the STL came out, barely any cleanup needed before slicing.

finally tried protoforge and was honestly shocked it spit out a clean little vase on my second try, no weird floating geometry. super handy for quick prototypes without firing up fusion.

@zlem25873850395 Glas you loved it!
Love how quick and easy this was, can’t wait to use it for all my kiddos and their ideas.
Glad you love it!
