Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Project Math Lab after one too many garden-center trips where I bought three bags too many, or ran short with half a bed left uncovered. The mulch calculator picks up where most tools stop. You add each rectangular bed (feet and inches, or metric), set the depth, and add an extra allowance for uneven ground. Then you enter your own numbers: bag size and price, bulk price per cubic yard, delivery fee, and your supplier's minimum order and increment. It rounds up to whole bags — or to the bulk increment your supplier actually sells — and shows a bagged-versus-bulk cost comparison you can copy or print. The formula and rounding rules are published on the site, so you can check the math yourself instead of trusting a black box. Free, no account, nothing to install. Everything is calculated locally in your browser. One honest note: today only the mulch calculator is live. Raised-bed soil and gravel are still in progress, so they are not available yet.
