Hey everyone
I'm the dev behind Project Backup. Honestly, I built these tools out of pure frustration. Every time I needed to set up automated backups for a Windows server (whether it was SQL databases or just plain folders), I had to deal with either bloated, crazy expensive enterprise software or write messy scripts that broke silently.
I just wanted a pair of clean, lightweight desktop apps that run quietly in the background and email me when my backups are actually done. Since I couldn't find good ones that didn't cost a fortune, I decided to build them myself.
They handle MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL, and regular files, pushing them securely to local drives or network storage (NAS).
I made them free for up to 2 backup profiles, so people with smaller projects can just download and use them without paying anything.
This is my first time launching here, so I'm a bit nervous but super excited to hear what you guys think. If you have any questions, feedback on the UI, or feature requests, just let me know! I'll be hanging out in the comments all day.
