Hey everyone, I’m the maker of Presscribe 👋 Presscribe is a free, privacy-first dictation tool for Windows that runs entirely on your machine. No accounts, no cloud. How it works: press Ctrl + Shift + Space to start recording, press again to stop, transcribe, and copy to clipboard (with an optional auto-paste mode if you want instant insertion). What makes it different: - Local processing powered by faster-whisper (your audio stays on-device) - Model choice from the tray to balance speed vs accuracy - A subtle status overlay so you always know when it’s recording, transcribing, copied, or pasted It’s a Windows-only portable executable. Note: current builds are unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show a prompt (More info → Run anyway).
