Hi Product Hunt! I built this because I kept squinting at skincare ingredient lists. You paste an INCI list and it marks ingredients with known pore-clogging (comedogenic) ratings, flags common Malassezia (fungal acne) triggers if you turn that option on, and shows which items are on a safe list. It runs in your browser, with no sign-up.
The data covers 160+ flagged ingredients and 40+ safe ones, each with a short note on where the rating comes from. To be clear about the limits: a rating describes a tendency in a study model, not a prediction for your skin, and the tool is informational, not medical advice. The alternatives section links to Amazon search results as affiliate links.
I'd love feedback, especially on ingredients that are missing or rated wrong. If you paste a list the checker handles badly, tell me which one and I'll fix it.
