I built Porcelain for my own workflow. It started because I work in a huge monorepo and wanted to hide the folders I never touch and pin the ones I use every day. Then agents changed how I worked. I was writing less code and spending much more time reviewing it. I did not need another place to run agents. I needed a better place to understand what they had built. That became the Review: Intent, Execution, and Evidence for one unit of work. The agent explains the idea, lists the relevant files in order, and includes proof that it worked. I can read, comment, and send those comments back as agent context. Porcelain works beside the editor, terminal, and agent tools you already use. It is open source, has no account or telemetry, and keeps its state on your machines.
