The sentence you need is there. It is just in another language.
I m Kiana, the maker of Ponte at Bothmade. Ponte translates PDFs on iPhone and iPad, then gives you a comfortable place to read the result and compare passages with the original.
Import a PDF from Files, choose the language and pages, approve the credit spend limit, and translate. Adjust text size and spacing as you read. When a phrase deserves a closer look, bring up the source passage to check its wording and context.
That comparison matters for a paper you are studying, a document you need to understand, or a text you are using to practise another language. A readable translation should also be easy to question. Check important names, numbers and passages against the source.
Hi everyone — I’m Kiana, the maker of Ponte at Bothmade.
A PDF can look excellent on a full page and still be awkward to read on a phone. Ponte gives its text a different presentation: a flowing reader with adjustable type and spacing, while keeping the original available for comparison.
Import, Restore and on-device reading are free. Restore can use on-device OCR for scans. Optional Cloud Translate and Explain use consumable credits, with a spend limit shown before translation. There is no subscription; credits are tied to the device.
The included English and French samples let you explore the reader without buying credits. There is also a small public-domain PDF and walkthrough at https://readponte.com/samples.
I’d like to hear where the reading experience breaks down for you: columns, footnotes, scans, figures, or something else. Complex layouts and translations still need checking against the original.
Thanks for taking a look.
