PolyDrive Disk lets your Mac read and write Windows NTFS drives — plus Linux ext4, Btrfs, XFS and F2FS drives — right in Finder. Unlike the old guard (Paragon, Tuxera), there is no kernel extension. It's built on Apple's modern File System Extension, so you never boot into Recovery or lower system security. It also unlocks LUKS and BitLocker volumes, reads LVM volumes and single disks rescued from a dead NAS, and runs 100% offline with zero telemetry. Free 3-day full trial, then $9.99 lifetime

Hey PH! I'm an indie Mac developer.
I kept hitting the same wall: plug a Linux or NTFS drive into a Mac and… nothing. The existing tools work, but they install kernel extensions — on Apple Silicon that means Recovery mode, reduced security, reboot. And every macOS update, fingers crossed the driver survives.
So I built PolyDrive Disk on Apple's FSKit instead: sandboxed, user space, SIP untouched. Plug in an NTFS/ext4/Btrfs/XFS drive and it just appears in Finder. It also handles LUKS/BitLocker-encrypted volumes and single disks pulled from a dead NAS.
Unlike Paragon or Tuxera's 1xxMB size, PolyDrive Disk is only 17MB after installation. I think the implementation and the easy-of-use is way more elegant:-)
It's a 3-day fully functional free trial, then $4.99 one-time with lifetime under promotion. I'd love your harshest feedback — especially edge cases with weird drives. What's the strangest disk you've ever needed to mount on a Mac?
