I built a daily puzzle game where you have to point at a landmark. One target per day, same for everyone. You can get hints (but if you play from home, you won't need them in a few days), then you turn around until you think you are facing the target and lock in your heading. The reveal shows the true great-circle bearing on a globe.
To me, the right direction feels unintuitive. From Amsterdam, Tokyo is northeast over Siberia. Most people point east because that is what Mercator taught them. The game is mostly an argument against flat maps ("why aren't we flying in a straight line?").
