I am incredibly excited to share this project with you all today! ### 🔒 Why I built PocketKit Like most developers and digital creators, my browser bookmarks were cluttered with quick utilities: merging PDFs, formatting JSON, decoding JWTs, or checking GPT tokenizer counts. But I’ve always felt a sense of anxiety pasting client data, API keys, or sensitive contracts into random online tools. We never know if those servers are caching our inputs. That’s why I built PocketKit — a **100% browser-local, privacy-first toolbox**. ### 🛠️ What makes it special? 1. **Zero Data Uploads**: Everything runs locally in your browser sandbox using Web APIs and WASM (e.g., local PDF compiling). No servers see your files. It even works completely offline! 2. **PWA Standalone App**: You can install it on macOS/Windows in one click. It runs in a standalone native window, ready whenever you need it. 3. **AI-Generated HTML5 Games**: I used LLMs (Claude & Fable) to "prompt" 20 retro games (like *Ice & Fire*, *3D Tank Battle*, *Mini MOBA*). 4. **Open-Source Prompts**: I’ve published the **exact English Prompts** I used for every single game on their detail pages. One thing I'd love to see is a sync option for the toolbox settings and favorites across devices using something like iCloud or Google Drive, so I don't have to manually reconfigure everything when switching between my phone and laptop.

@elifozgulb33111 thanks for the fantastic suggestion! That is indeed a huge quality-of-life feature when switching between desktop and mobile.

Since PocketKit is built on a privacy-first, no-upload philosophy, we don't want to store your settings or favorites on our own servers. However, syncing via the user's own cloud storage is the perfect way to preserve 100% privacy!

Here is how we plan to tackle this in our upcoming updates:

Immediate workaround (Import/Export): In the next minor update, we will add a quick "Export/Import Settings" option. You'll be able to download your configurations as a tiny JSON file and load it on any device.
Client-side Cloud Sync (WebDAV / Google Drive): We are adding this to our roadmap! We plan to integrate client-side sync using WebDAV (so you can sync to your own Nextcloud/Jianguoyun) and Google Drive API directly from the browser. Your credentials and sync files will stay entirely on your device and your personal cloud.
