Plume is a private, client-side PDF toolkit that processes everything locally in your browser no uploads, accounts, or watermarks- and it's free. Unlike Smallpdf, iLovePDF, or Adobe, files never leave your device. All 47+ tools (merge, compress, edit, sign, OCR, convert, redact, etc.) r. It offers true privacy, ideal for sensitive documents, with no limits or watermarks on the free plan, and is fast, sleek, and designed for power users who value privacy.
Finally a PDF tool that doesn't shove your contract through some mystery server. Merged a few files and the whole thing ran faster than my usual online tool.

The offline-first approach is genuinely refreshing, and the no-watermark free tier sealed the deal for me. One thing I'd love to see is a CLI or local script version so I can batch-process sensitive PDFs straight from my terminal without opening a browser, especially useful for automating redactions across hundreds of files.

Finally a PDF tool that actually cares about privacy. Files never leave the browser. Merged a couple of contracts and it felt much safer than the usual online tools.
The fact that every tool runs locally without sacrificing the polished, modern interface is impressive. Most client-side apps feel clunky, but Plume feels snappy and well-considered. Solid execution all around.
