PlotGround is a growing archive of firsthand stories about how AI is reshaping work — written by the people doing the work. No company names, no hot takes, just honest accounts of what changed, what someone does now, and what they'd tell anyone entering their field. Now anyone can add their own.

I built PlotGround because the conversation about AI and work is loud, but it's mostly happening at 30,000 feet — reports, predictions, hot takes. What I kept wanting was the ground-level view: not "AI will transform 40% of jobs," but what did last Tuesday actually look like for you, and how is it different from a year ago?
The problem I was trying to solve is that those stories are everywhere and nowhere. People are living through real, specific changes to their work — a copywriter who now edits instead of writes, a support rep whose whole queue shifted, someone who got hired because of AI and someone who got let go by it — but there was no calm, honest place to put them. Somewhere without company names, without a pitch, without the algorithm rewarding the spiciest take.
My approach changed a lot along the way. It started as a tightly curated archive — I personally reviewed and published every story, because I was scared of what an open door might let in. But the more stories came through, the more I realized the value was in the range and honesty of the voices, and that gatekeeping was the bottleneck. So I rebuilt it as an open platform: anyone can sign up, publish their own story (anonymously if they want), comment, and follow the people whose experiences resonate. The editorial instinct is still there as a safety net, but the mic is now open.
